Snow Days in Seattle

My parents and their friends say it never snows like this in Seattle. Over three days we had 10 inches and the City of Seattle's 27 snowplows didn't quite cover our charming Queen Anne hamlet. I haven't been in school (and, thus, parents at work) since mid last week. We snowshoed to church on Sunday and up the hill to the bakery today. I went sledding (or sledging as Daddy says) down a nearby hill and learned snow can taste much like ice cream (use your imagination...and add some honey or jam). When Mommy told me that school may be in session tomorrow, I became as cute and as obedient as I possibly could and tried to convince them they wanted me to stay home with them. I think I won them over.

Thanksgiving in St. Louis

What a fun time I had visiting family, playing with Oscar Dog, sleeping in my pink tent and bouncing on Uncle Rob's "trampoline" and climbing under his furniture. Every day a new adventure when you are 2 1/2! And, I learned to play the drums....thanks to help from Lydia.

My Baby Brother

I'm excited about my brother coming in to this world in late April. Here are a few pictures and videos of him. Kinda cute, isn't he?

Unicorn Days

Dressing up for Halloween with my schoolmates and my teacher was great fun. I discovered candy, too, much to Mommy's chagrin.

Poolside and Beach Time

In early November, Mom and Dad took me to Florida to visit family, play on the beach and splash in the pool. I had a great time!

My Charm

Mommy received a scrumptious gift package from Ms Eva, including a few pumpkin muffins just my size. One for bedtime snack and one for breakfast the next day. I hope Ms. Eva gave Mommy the recipe! In addition to yummy home-baked goodies, I love liquid refreshment.....carrot juice, green drink, fresh squeezed oj, milk, peach smoothies, peanut butter shakes, water...you name it. I would prefer to drink my meals instead of eat them, actually. Here's a picture showing one evening's smorgesboard. Yum, Yum. After dinner play? Well....over the past months, I've been all about my baby dolls...and Elmo and Grover and bears and unicorn as being babies...and covering them with blankets, changing their diapers, taking them for walks in my stroller and going to the store. Tonight, though, I showed Mommy I'm "in the know" and put Elmo underneath my shirt to show her my pregnant belly. Mommy and Daddy were rolling in laughter. I love making them laugh!

Corn, Ni Ni Corn, EE Corn....all say the same thing

After Daddy won a beautiful little unicorn for me, I've been in love with little "corn." I take him to bed every night; I pet his mane; sometimes I even try and chew on his horn although Mommy usually "yucks" my "yum." Best of all, I will be a unicorn for Halloween! We have a parade at school and I'll get to wear my outfit (even though I best like it as a blanket.)

Labor Day is Pool Day!

Mommy and Daddy took me to STL Labor Day weekend so Daddy could "bike race" and Mommy could play with her friends, Gee and Steve. My favorite part of the whole weekend was playing in Unc Wob's pool. Normally, I'm not too fond of pools and water but Daddy and balls made it so much fun!

Flying with Daddy

My daddy is never short of flying lessons for me. Whether it's carrying me airplane style with my arms outstretched or teaching me hammerhead stalls, Daddy is the best. I've learned how to make myself heard, too, when wanting more.

Pollock, Miro, Robertson....

Catherine couldn't be happier than when she's painting. She has her favorite chair/ladder, her favorite colors, her favorite brushes. Her technique has changed from plain "coverage" to lines, circles, a bit of todder pointelism and two-handed "splotch and drips."

Seaside with Friends

Mommy, Daddy and I traveled to the Oregon Coast with my buddy, Chase and his parents. We had so much fun playing....on the beach, in the condo, in the tub... and riding "bikes"....and eating ice cream. I just moved up into Chase's class...T2's...so I get to see Chase everyday. He shares his food, toys and spiders with me. What more could a girl ask for?
